Winter exam week was one of the busiest weeks I have ever endured. Of course, part of the work was as a result of procrastination, but nonetheless there was plenty of work to do. Several lab reports needed to be rewritten, projects and computer programs needed to be designed and composed and a few exams required considerable preparation. However, Katherine and I began most of our work the Thursday before exam week. She was finishing her site model for studio, while I was completing several lab reports, which I had postponed until the latest possible moment. Unfortunately, Katherine was sick for most of the weekend with a fever and congestion. Luckily, her critique was rescheduled a Tuesday instead of Monday. In the meantime, I finished my lab reports and submitted them Monday morning before feeling some symptoms similar to Katherine's. I napped for most of the day and then completed a health physics exam - the first of the week for me. Health physics deals with exposure and dose calculations, and I was proud to have proven myself more definitively on the final than the midterm.
The following morning, Tuesday, Katherine presented her model, while I continued work on two projects of reactor theory concerning heat transfer. For a short time I prepared for John Christenson's Radiation Interactions exam on Wednesday, which I felt also showed improvement over my previous work in the class. Thursday morning Ivan Maldonado administered his exam after show and tell for our heat transfer projects, where I had fallen notably behind compared to the other students. Ivan's reactor theory exam was my final exam, but he allowed me a little more time to submit work for my projects and exhibited some mercy in his grading.
